This flexibility shines through in these projects, in which connected TV apps were created under a range of specific conditions, from those of slow set-top boxes (before glass fibre technology) to those of Smart TV sets.

Examples
Orange TV Portal (OTVP)
Extensive package of multiscreen online TV services & components, designed for Orange at Tui interactive media.
Orange TV Portal (OTVP) was the way for Orange customers to reach Internet on TV sets. It was the single audience hotspot on a dedicated TV channel, through which they could access many customizable online services, developed by Orange and its partners.
This multiscreen project covers designs for:
- TV screens for Portal, Horoscope, Lottery, Horse racing, Video & News
- Browser plug-in, to bookmark & manage videos for the OTVP video service
- Website page for TV settings, on the Orange website
- Mobile site, to use OTVP service on mobile
- Icons for e.g. the Horoscope service
My role:
- Project management (brief, quote, timeline, flowchart, scenario, presentation, and client communication in English & French)
- Usability, design and brand consistency consultation
- Ideation & conceptualization for service functionalities & layouts
Easel TV
Connected TV apps (Samsung Internet TV apps & Yahoo TV Widgets), developed under NDA (non-disclosure agreement – hence this generic Samsung Smart TV image) at Easel TV.
Easel TV won the “Digital Champion” award at the 2015 Growing Business Awards, for challenging traditional industry and business practices, building a successful business with such disruptive activity; and acting as a champion for the new digital economy.
My role:
- Project planning (agile process) & code planning (creating an architecture of reusable modules)
- Research into code performance of TV SDKs & Flash on TV
- Programming & optimization of AS2 (FlashLite 3) OOP coding, under strict SVN (subversion control), for XML-driven dynamic layout of interactive elements that use external assets (stylesheet, images, etc.) and communicate with the TV app engine & remote control
